Regional Manager’s Meeting

Thank you to those of you that took the time to fill out the survey I sent out regarding future Managers meeting(s). I have attached a link to the results and you can also go to our website www.eccog.org and view them as well. https://www.surveymonkey.com/results/SM-T8S6VK678/

I will go over the survey results in general but you all are very capable of doing that yourselves and the results are very self-explanatory. I did find them interesting but a higher turnout would have been nice. To give everyone ample time our next and my first regional Managers meeting is scheduled for Wednesday November 15th from 11am to 1pm. The change to Wednesday is based on survey results. We will be sending out a calendar invite to all. It is my goal to make these meetings very much driven to your wants and needs. We will continue to have our usual roundtable discussion on pertinent topics so your participation is very important. I also feel it very important that I keep all our region well informed on activities particularly on a local level that ECC is involved in. It was also suggested to me that we make these meetings count as continuing education for credentialed managers. This is something I think we can do but it may also be something we need to do outside of our regularly scheduled Managers Meetings. However, that said I am very much willing to host and or structure meetings/training geared towards manager professional development and I can bring in outside resources to speak on topics to assist with this.

In a week or so I will send out and agenda for our November meeting. If there is anything that you really would like to see on that agenda please let me know. I realize that it will be right after election time. I do want to discuss how we can better engage your local government elected officials. I would like to have your input on that. ECC will continue to host coordinated ethics training and new elected officials training as well through webinars, speakers or other resources as needed. I am open to moving the meetings around but that was not the majority opinion so at present we will keep them here in New Bern. I am still trying to get out and meet with all the managers and there are still quite a few that I have not met yet but going out to your jurisdictions has been very beneficial and I appreciate those of you that I have met with taking the time to fill me in on all the things that are going on in your region.

On another note we have a regional networking event coming up very soon that day is October 28th from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium. It is a semi-formal masquerade event. At present we have over 115 to have rsvp’d. It is not too late to join in on the fun but you must rsvp so we can make sure we have accurate information for our caterer. When you rsvp you will be assigned a ticket which must be presented at the event. For more information please visit our website at www.eccog.org or contact Leighann Morgan at (252) 638-3185 ext 3001. Have a great day!
