RCAMS
The Regional Crime Analysis and Mapping System (RCAMS) is a program supported by the NC Governor's Crime Commission. The program provides GIS software and training to law enforcement agencies throughout Region P and establishes a Data Server for sharing crime data between agencies.
All law enforcement agencies throughout the nine county region are invited to participate on one of two levels. The larger agencies will receive a copy of ESRI's ArcView and Spatial Analyst along with a copy of Crime Analysis Tools (CAT) developed by Bradshaw Consulting Services. Smaller agencies in the region will participate through Crime iMAP, a web-based mapping application developed by Bradshaw Consulting Services and based on ESRI's ArcIMS technology.
